Solar Charge Controller A solar charge controller is able to adjust the charge current according to the voltage of the battery. It also prevents the battery from over-charging and from over-discharging. There is reverse Polarity for the battery, reverse polarity for the solar panel, and even protection from power surges caused by things like lightning strikes.
