TOYOTA REVEALS SHOCKING SECRET PLAN FOR 2010 PRIUS

April 2nd, 2009

A solar panel on a car that will actually keep your car cool while it sits parked.

Those of us who live in hot temperatures know that it is miserable getting in a car. No matter how well your air conditioner works, you bake for the first few minutes.

Toyota aims to change all that with the 2010 Prius.

A solar panel will be used to power an air conditioner that will keep your car cool even though it's completely turned off and parked.

It is an amazing technological jump forward in that the sun, which is responsible for heating your car in the first place, can now be used to keep it cool.

Fuel Cell X7

Fuel Cell X7Fuel Cell X7

This kit still has our award-winning model car with its unique reversible fuel cell not found in other fuel cell car models. The car still functions in the same manner as described on the opposite page. The Fuel Cell X7 edition is designed to be accessible to more users, both in terms of content and price. The manual focuses more on building and designing a fuel cell car, rather than the comprehensive lesson on the science of fuel cells and solar cells found in the original version. The minimum age is lower and the instructions are geared toward a younger audience. The kit has been optimized for simplicity and ease of use over thorough experimentation. With its new focus, some parts have become unnecessary and have been removed to reduce the cost. The kit that is right for you or your child will depend on your needs, interest level, and age group.

Assemble a working fuel cell car that runs on the ultimate fuel - hydrogen and oxygen gas! Design your own fuel cell car that runs on hydrogen and oxygen gas. Discover how fuel cells work. Use a unique reversible fuel cell - it turns water into hydrogen and oxygen and then back again. Learn about the potential alternative energies for automobiles. Includes a 16-page manual with step-by-step instructions. Watch in amazement as water separates into hydrogen and oxygen, then use the stored gases to power your vehicle across the floor. Great inspiration for tomorrow's engineers! Safety warning: This product contains small parts that may present a choking hazard for young children.

If there was a mass production of hydrogen fuel cell engines would the water emitions effect the environment?

October 7th, 2008

Not really. The only emissions from a hydrogen fuel cell engine is H2O (water). So the question really becomes what would an increase of moisture in the atmosphere do to the environment? It is possible that there could be more rain and so that might help with droughts but that's once hundreds of millions of H2O cars are on the roads.

It is my opinion that the environment would do very well with more moisture in the air. I think the danger to the environment is not in the emissions from a fuel cell engine car, but rather in how the hydrogen was produced for the fuel cell car and in actually making the fuel cell in the first place.

Would this punishment be sufficient to offset their carbon foot print? Would more be needed?

Is it safe to use vegetable or similar as a safe alternative car fuel?

September 25th, 2008

Veggie oil can only be used in Diesel engines.

Most engines can work on a mix of diesel and veggie oil, but to run 100% veggie oil, you may need to have an in-line fuel heater to reduce the viscosity.

If any car company came out with a Practical electric/ alternative fuel Car would you Buy it?

September 25th, 2008

I would, so why do liberals think we need a Law to make this happen when the Market would drive this buy mearly offering it?

Foxy you answered that one yourself. You buy it they will continue. You lead them Got it.

Yes. Renewable hydroelectricity is $.05/kW-h in my jurisdiction. This translates to the equivalent of $1.14/gal with current technology. If batteries were 100% efficient, the cost would be equivalent to $.64/gal. For comparison, the current local price is $3.90/gal (taxes make up half of the price). At current prices, I would save about $3000 annually in fuel costs. In addition, the local utility wants to use the storage capacity of electric car batteries for load balancing and plans to pay owners for the storage. I would want to keep at least half of the savings, so I would be willing to pay up to $1500 more per year for an electric car.

While governments like renewable fuels in principle, they don't want to lose tax revenues. Don't expect governments to create incentives for something they can't tax.
